The construction of the justice premises – one of the biggest investment events in the modern history of the justice government department of the Czech Republic started in Prague in July 2003.
The justice premises has been developed in a place of the former neo-renaissance Barracks of Jan Roháč z Dubé and are composed of three reconstructed buildings and one completely new modern building. Since September of this year the buildings are of service to four district and prosecution courts of Prague. The entire construction will be finished in autumn this year and its total investment is estimated at about CZK 2,5 billion.
Around 1000 staff will be located in the new justice premises and thousands of people will visit it every day. There are almost 100 courtrooms – 12 large courtrooms and 86 medium-sized courtrooms. Furthermore an auction hall for 200 bidders, a conference chamber, a lunch room for the staff, a reception and an electronic informational board, and also a file study room and consulting rooms where lawyers and their clients may go through the last details before the start of legal proceedings while having a coffee are completed.
“The FAB Project department was anxious to gain a position of one of the most important partners for the consecutive door equipment and security deliveries from the very first project discussions , even though the project was in a very early stage of development,” says Roman Čipera, FAB Project Key Account Manager. “Company FAB stepped into the discussions more specifically during May 2005 when many hearings took place leading to the acceptance of solutions supplied by the ASSA ABLOY Group.”
A selection procedure, in which FAB „fought“ for the several-million crowns project with very strong rival companies WINKHAUS and KABA, concluded that the system FAB VERSO CLIQ will be delivered and installed. Mechatronical systems are also supplied by both companies to the Czech market.
What predated the successful selection procedure and subsequent contract conclusion? „The most important task was to persuade the investor about the characteristics, technical parameters and all other advantages of the mechatronical systems and primarily the FAB VERSO CLIQ system, especially in comparison with the planned delivery of standard mechanical master key system,“ Roman Čipera explains.
The effort was finally topped by multiple successes due to succeeding in other areas of service delivering, in OEM area – a delivery of the complete door equipment was done by companies LIGNIS and ALUFRONT.
Trouble-free system installation took place in several phases and the complete project was delivered in the first half of September 2006, company FAB cooperated with Mr. Fábera´s FAB Profi centre. We would like to thank the representatives of IKON company for the cooperation and above all for ensuring timely and errorless technology deliveries. Those facts helped us to meet the very strict delivery dates defined in the contract.
“This obvious success is the proof of the FAB right business strategy: to provide customers with complex solutions and services within the door hardware area,” adds Jan Bedřich, the Construction Projects Department Manager.
